Graduate professor of Sociology of Religion and feminist theory at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. Currently researcher of National Researcher Center (CNPq). Current research: Catholicism and Modernity - women's rigths in the Catholic Church. Visiting professor at Harvard University, 2003. Nominated for the 1.000 Women for the Nobel Peace Prize, 2005.
